There is a very high correlation between the measurement values according to the JIS method and the wastewater from various business establishments.
This measurement method maintains the reaction conditions between the pollutants and potassium permanganate identical to JIS K 0102, using one-twentieth of the liquid volumes of the sample and reagents as per the JIS method. Heating at 100°C for 30 minutes is conducted using a reactor instead of a water bath, and the amount of consumed permanganate ions is determined by measuring the decrease in absorbance with a photoLab 6100 water quality meter, which displays the COD concentration. Since the reaction conditions of this method are exactly the same as those of the JIS method, there is a very high correlation between the measurements obtained by the JIS method and those obtained using the photoLab 6100.
Can be measured accurately in mg/L (or g/L) O2 with minimal operation.
The COD measurement set includes the main measuring device, COD test tubes (25 pieces, 1 set each for low range and medium range), reactor RD125, and vial stand.
